Hey there! Hoping that this blog finds you all well. We first would like to apologize for the distress this incredibly horrible situation has caused our neighbors, friends, and loved ones…but we want to thank all of you for all your generosity and help that you have offered over this past 18 months!!!! We couldn’t have ever imagined that our house story would have this long of a chapter in purgatory but we figured we might as well share our story and keep everyone updated at the same time (especially those neighbors on Luna Circle who have to deal with our skeleton of a house).
As of today, construction is on hold (I know, shocking- has it ever not been on hold?). We are still in the process of trying to determine how much additional money we will need to complete the project. We are working closely with a construction lawyer and an extremely generous community member who may or may not be in the construction business to help us figure out this transitionary phase. We are hoping to have the project back on its feet as soon as possible. We hope to be in the area a few days in the beginning of January to meet with everyone and would love to see our 505 family. We will keep you all posted on specifics of when.
A place belongs forever to whoever claims it hardest, remembers it most obsessively, wrenches it from itself, shapes it, renders it, loves it so radically that he remakes it in his own image.— Joan Didion
